Bakkakot Cabin no 1
Get back to nature in this well equipped cabin. There is a living/kitchen area with TV, DVD, stereo, Wi-Fi, reclining sofa, fridge, oven with hob, table and chairs. One bedroom with double bed and storage space. A bathroom with toilet, shower, sink and storage. The cabin is heated throughout with 100% natural geothermal heating.
The decking around the front and side of cabin is perfect for taking in the views of the woodland, ocean and mountains. We are located 20km from Akureyri in the countryside so this cabin is the perfect location for those seeking peace and quiet, nature, northern lights (in winter), or just a place to get a way from it all. With in the woodland is a hot tub, grill/picnic area and walking paths. During winter snow shoes are available for hire.

This cosy cabin is very welcoming and well equipped for two. It is 16 sq.m and stands on a large decking. The cabin is open plan with a double bed, TV/DVD player, table, chairs, a kitchen with hob, toaster, kettle and fridge. The shower room has a shower, sink and toilet.
We also provide tea, coffee, cooking oil, games, books and DVDs. The cabin is heated using geothermal water. In the woodland is a hot tub, grill/picnic area and walking paths. During winter months is is a great location to spot Norther lights or rent snow shoes.

Bakkakot, the Cosy Cabins in the Woods, are located at the Artic Coast Way, around 20 km north of Akureyri.
The Artic Coast Way is a tourist route that take you off the main roads and on to a road along the extraordinary and beautiful coast line of the North of Iceland.
